A Conversation with Paula Fitzsimons

Dockside Evenings is a series of intimate gatherings designed to bring together entrepreneurs, innovators and creatives for meaningful conversations by the Malahide Marina.

For this session, we are delighted to welcome Paula Fitzsimons, founder of Fitzsimons Consulting and a recognised leader in entrepreneurship and business growth in Ireland.

Paula specialises in the design and delivery of peer-support programmes for both early-stage and established entrepreneurs. She has led and developed a number of highly regarded national initiatives supporting entrepreneurship across Ireland.

One of these initiatives is Back for Business, a programme developed to foster and support entrepreneurial activity among emigrants who have recently returned to live in Ireland. The programme is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and has successfully supported multiple cohorts of returning entrepreneurs.

In addition to Back for Business, Paula has been instrumental in the development of initiatives such as Going for Growth, which has supported female entrepreneurs, and ACORNS, which supports early-stage female entrepreneurs living in rural Ireland. Both programmes have been recognised nationally and internationally for their impact.

This Dockside Evening will take the form of an informal, fireside-style conversation exploring entrepreneurship, resilience, and the experience of building a business in Ireland, followed by relaxed networking in our waterfront workspace.
