About this event
Live Tonite proudly presents the 'Super Terror 2024' tour, featuring El Mato a un Policia Motorizado in Dublin for the second time after their sold-out performance in 2022.
The Argentine indie rock band that emerged from the vibrant underground music scene of La Plata, Argentina. Formed in 2003, the band has become one of the most influential and beloved acts in Latin America, renowned for their poetic lyrics, atmospheric soundscapes, and captivating live performances.
Led by Santi Motorizado, the band consists of Gustavo "Niño" Monsalvo (guitar), Guillermo "Willy" Caballero (guitar), Manuel "Manu" Moretti (bass), and Agustín "Toma" Rocino (drums). Together, they create a unique blend of indie rock, shoegaze, and post-punk, characterized by dreamy melodies, swirling guitars, and introspective lyrics.
El Mató a un Policía Motorizado released their debut album, "Un millón de euros," in 2004, followed by "Navidad de Reserva" in 2006. However, it was their third album, "Día de los Muertos" (2010), that garnered widespread critical acclaim and established them as a force to be reckoned with in the Latin American music scene. Songs like "Más o Menos Bien" and "El Día de los Muertos" became anthems for a generation disillusioned with the status quo.
The band continued to evolve and experiment with their sound, releasing albums such as "La Dinastía Scorpio" (2012) and "La Síntesis O'Konor" (2017), and recently "Super Terror" (2023), which further solidified their reputation as innovators in the indie rock genre. Their concerts are legendary for their electric atmosphere, with audiences singing along to every word and swaying to the hypnotic rhythms.
With their unique sound and thought-provoking lyrics, El Mató a un Policía Motorizado continues to inspire and captivate audiences around the world, solidifying their legacy as one of the most important bands to emerge from Latin America in recent years.
