About this event
This hands-on endoscopy course is for doctors starting off in upper and lower gastrointestinal scoping. Experts in endoscopy will demonstrate the workings and maintenance of equipment and give tips on effective use and clinical application to its parts, such as water jet insufflation. There will be emphasis on safe painless scoping for the patient and careful visualisation of the oesophagus, stomach and large intestine. Synthetic and animal models will be used to demonstrate principles such as looping and polyp detection.

- Increase your proficiency in scope guidance.
- Gain more confidence in your approach to the patient before and during scoping.
- Improve your skills in mucosal visualisation.
- Gain knowledge in the principle of effective endoscopy.
