Most athletes competing in HYROX or TRYKA make the same mistake: they attack the erg at high intensity.

The problem? HYROX and TRYKA are pacing-based races. If you don't know how to set the flywheel for your fitness level, read your screen correctly, pace strategically, and generate power efficiently — you'll gas yourself out before the next run even starts.

We've been competing in HYROX and TRYK since 2023. We've trained under Jane Erbacher, one of the top erg coaches in the world. And we've studied the exact techniques that separate athletes who finish strong from those who hit a wall.

In this workshop, we'll show you:

  • How to set the flywheel correctly for your fitness level
  • How to hold the handles on both the SkiErg and Rower for maximum power
  • How to position your feet for efficiency and control
  • How to generate force with minimal effort so you maintain your heart rate and pace
  • How to recover on the erg so you hit the next run with energy left in the tank
