Join us for an exciting exploration of the Dunhill Integrated Constructed Wetland in Co. Waterford!

Time: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Event Details:
During this event, we'll embark on a guided walk through the picturesque Dunhill Wetlands. Learn about the importance of wetlands and biodiversity conservation from specialist speakers.

  • Schedule:
    • 11:30 am: Meet at the Dunhill Eco Park carpark.
    • 11:45 am: Welcome and introduction to Dunhill Integrated Constructed Wetland by Elaine Doyle, Campaigns Officer, Clean Coasts.
    • 12:00 pm: Guided walk through the wetlands with a biodiversity talk by Marina Mulligan, Biodiversity Officer at Waterford City and County Council, and talk on the role of wetlands for the environment by Katia Hunter, Executive Scientist at Waterford City and County Council.
    • 1:00 pm: Picnic lunch (bring your lunch, water bottles, and sunscreen).

  • The event will proceed rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes suitable for uneven terrain.
  • Please bring your own sustainable lunch, water bottles, and sunscreen for the picnic.
