Dwr Uisce stands for 'Distributing our Water Resources: Utilising Integrated, Smart and low-Carbon Energy'. We are a research team made up of academic and research staff from Trinity College Dublin in Ireland and Bangor University in Wales. The team has extensive experience in energy technology, environmental impact assessments, climate change and business collaboration. The project runs until Sept '21, and is supported through the Ireland-Wales Co-operation Programme 2014-2020.

Low-cost and modular hydro turbines: opportunity, design and results from pilot installations.

Are you working for or with a water-intensive industry (e.g. mining, food &amp; beverage, pharma, tech, manufacturing) and want to hear how to recover electricity from the existing pipelines? Are you a landowner or a community willing to develop a &lt;100 kW hydro scheme on your property? Join this Webinar to learn more about the pump-as-turbine technology.Since 2011the Dwr Uisce research team based in Trinity College Dublin has been working on a novel type of low-cost and modular water turbine, consisting of using regular water pumps in reverse as turbines. The Webinar will introduce the technology and provide an overview of the locations where it could be beneficial.
