Anna Mullarkey is an award-winning composer and performer from Galway, whose music weaves electronics with piano and voice. Having grown up in the West of Ireland, Anna draws inspiration from the sea for her compositions. The Irish Times called her “phenomenal” and Irish Theatre Magazine described her music as “if a sultry ménage of Björk/Billie Holiday/Philip Glass got together at the Wickerman Festival.” Her original score for the film The Passion (2021) has won awards in Ireland and Europe.

Anna’s debut album, Falling, released in 2023, is all about falling in and out of love. It is a shapeshifting soundscape, with sometimes comforting and sometimes haunting melodies that evoke summer afternoons and winter evenings, that speak to a haunted past and a radiant present. The album has received critical acclaim and national radio play.

Anna is currently working on scoring for theater and film blending electronics with classical music.

Dug is the new musical project of Lorkin O’Reilly and California native Jonny Pickett.

After spending the past decade in upstate New York, releasing 2 albums, touring and gaining 24+ million streams on Spotify, Lorkin decided to pack his bags in 2022 and move home to Dublin.

With that life change and meeting Pickett, came the inception of Dug– a band that blends American old time and Irish folk, reflecting the musical heritage of both its members.

After selling out two headline shows at Whelan’s, featuring on Conan O’Brien's new HBO series ‘Conan Must Go’ and performing on "Fanning at Whelan's" for Virgin Media, Dug is off to a flying start. With their debut album well under way, and the first single slated for Feb, 2024 is shaping up to be a busy year for Dug.

"what's the name of the band? Dug! D-u-g. That's pretty cool" – Conan O'Brien

The Fynches vocal harmonies echo the sounds of Crosby, Stills and Nash and The Band. Their performances are energetic, psychedelic and ecstatic. With some formidable releases under their belt and many more on the way, a live act that is unparalleled"

O Deer is the musical project of Oisín Walsh-Peelo. Inspired by folk idioms, Oisín’s music is mellow and delicate and draws from his diverse musical language.

Now based in West-Cork, Oisín has travelled extensively with his music. As a session musician (piano, guitars, harp, low-whistles and vocalist) he has played throughout the USA, Europe, Ireland and the UK. He has toured worldwide with a wide range of artists and bands including Hudson Taylor, Gabrielle Aplin, Hannah-Grace, Villagers, Sun Collective and I Have a Tribe.

Since the release of his first EP ‘O Deer’, Oisín has played support for Hozier in the USA, Joseph (US), Departure Lounge (UK), among others.

As touring and live music came to a stop in 2020, Oisín used this slower pace to record his debut album which is set for release in 2022.

“His songwriting is delicate, crafted, and simply expressive of earnest desire”

SurfSide 61 is a celebration of the golden age of instrumental guitar music.

Surf Music, as it was called in the USA, originated in Southern California in the early 60s along with the booming surfing craze.

In The UK a similar sound was happening led by The Shadows, who were hugely successful across the world with no less than 5 number one hits between 1960 and ’63.

Stephen Housden formed SurfSide61 to present authentic versions of the music that inspired him and a generation of guitarists.

Stephen toured the world for many years as a member of Little River Band. He has also has played along side many music greats including; Glen Frey, Christopher Cross, Dr. John, Warren Zevon, John Entwistle (The Who) and Albert Lee.

Woodsmen are one of the newest Folk-Rock bands to emerge in the Irish music scene. The band was formed in the corridors of the British and Irish Modern Music Institute by songwriter Arron Woods (Rhythm Guitar/ Vocals) who recruited renowned musicians Cam Teehan (Drums) and Josh Hackett (Lead Guitar). They blend an exciting Rock & Roll sound that honours the distinct history of Irish Rock, with the philosophical freedom of the Folk landscape. Their implementation of considered melody will entice you to sing along to their songs whether it’s the 1st or 1000th time you’ve listened to them. The bands amalgamation of genre, creates a nostalgic but exhilarating and fresh sound, that will make you think you’ve been listening to them for years. Woodsmen pays homage to the Folk Rock sphere of the late 60s and early 70s, through the fusion of acoustic and electric instrumentation, the utilisation of harmonies and the multitude of electric guitar textures associated with Country, Roots Rock and Rock & Roll. The band’s style can be placed into a number of genres including Singer Songwriter, Folk- Rock, Roots Rock, Rock & Roll and elements of Country, appealing to the ears of all listeners.
