Description

Join our free 3-hour Science Communication training workshop organised by the British Council Ireland. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have some experience in science communication, there is always more to learn!

Training is open to a range of people who apply, work on, teach or study science, including:

  • People who apply science, technology, engineering or mathematics in industry or business.

  • People who work on applying science, engineering, technology or mathematics (e.g. patent clerks, statisticians, consultants to industry).

  • Lecturers and researchers in science, technology, engineering or mathematics, including specialist science teachers with a science degree.

  • University students of science, technology, mathematics or engineering aged 18 and over.

  • People who apply science, technology, mathematics or engineering in the armed forces or government bodies.

Training will take place on NUIG campus (room TBC). The workshop is geared towards STEM enthusiasts who are considering entering the FameLab Galway regional heat on February 19, 2020.

FameLab Ireland is funded by the Science Foundation Ireland and is supported by Cpl Resources Plc and Henkel Ireland Limited. It is managed by the British Council Ireland in collaboration with a host of top-class partners from higher education, research, media and public engagement across Ireland.
