Boyne Greenway Family Cycle

To celebrate Bike Week 2024, Louth Local Sports Partnership together with Drogheda Cycling Group are hosting a Family Greenway Cycle. Meet at the St Dominics Park, Drogheda under the Bridge of Peace on the South side of the river in Drogheda at 11.00am

Cycle along the Boyne Greenway 6km to Oldbridge for family picnic in the grounds, participants bring their own food, refreshments provided by Drogheda Cycling Group. Cycle 6km cycle back to Drogheda along the Greenway.

Children of all ages are welcome so long as they are accompanied by an adult. Children are the responsibility of their parent/ guardian who must ensure they have a roadworthy bike that fits correctly and are confident they can cycle the distance. We will be on quiet roads as much as possible, but we will encounter some traffic. It is essential that all participants understand basic road safety rules and wear appropriate safety gear including helmets and hi-vis vests.
