Join us at Ballynamona Bog to hear from local farmers and community members protecting nature in the area. The event is a collaboration between the FarmPEAT Project, Uí Máine Kingdom Group, and Hillside Holistic Farm.


Learn about farming on peat soils, holistic healing, social farming, the lowland karst landscape, and the sharing of folklore through art.


It will be an opportunity to get some fresh air, spend time on the bog, and build new connections with the landscape and each other.


All are welcome, farmers especially!


Meeting Point: Taughmaconnell Community Centre (we will then carpool to the Bog).

Is this event suitable for children?

Children are welcome to attend, however, the discussions and activities will be tailored towards an older audience. The bog is always a fun place to explore - so please don't hesitate to bring them along to connect with this wonderful habitat!

Will there be toilet facilities?

There will be toilet facilities at the meeting point, Taughmaconnell Community Centre.
