Your Workshop Materials List
The following are the materials you will need for the Easter/Spring Zoom Tutorial.
1. A block of soaked floral foam. To do this just place it with the writing side up in a basin of cold water - once it sinks to the bottom it is fully saturated. Remove and store in a sealed plastic bag until required.
2. A low ornamental dish, deep enough to hold water, or a ‘double spray tray’ if you have one.
3. Six to eight stems of Ribes (flowering currently), approx 40cm - 50cm in length. Six to eight sprigs of Forsythia approx 30cm - 40cm in length. Six Hyacinth flowers (or other Spring flowering bulbs). Approx ten small Daffodils. I am opting for February Gold and Jetfire in my design, but you can choose any sort of small Daffodil that you wish.
4. Foliage. Here are some examples; Skimmia, Heather, Hebe, Box large Ivy leaves, Thuya Rheingold or similar or Pittosporum. You only need 5 contrasting types of foliage and please feel free to include other types of foliage if you so desire – this is your design!
5. Anchor tape.
6. Knife, Scissors/Secateurs.
The “Keep Well” campaign is part of the Government’s Plan for Living with COVID-19 to promote individual and community resilience.
DCCI & NDCG will focus on the campaign’s strand ‘Switching off and Being Creative’.

European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD) were created in 2002 upon the request of the French government to derive value from the nation’s enormous intangible assets as a way to highlight its living heritage. They are organised by the National Institute of Arts and Crafts (INMA) in France.
Due to the success of these days in France, they now take place across Europe on the first weekend in April.
Watch a video HERE on how to highlight our European cultural heritage.
