Welcome to the Festival Of Music on Heir (FOMOH)!
Come join us at St Matthews Church Baltimore this June, for their third trip to Heir and first to St Matthews, 25 amateur classical musicians, many of whom are doctors from the European and Irish Doctors orchestras, with a few friends thrown in for good measure, to host the ever evolving Festival of Music on Heir, from 3rd to 8th June 2024.T
This year’s festival will be bigger and better than ever! In addition to open rehearsals and the finale concert at the Boathouse on Heir Island on Saturday 8th at 12.15pm, the Festival will also be bringing music to Community Centre on Sherkin and St Matthews Church, Baltimore with concerts on Friday 7th. We’re also adding another creative element to this year’s Festival with an evening of storytelling and folk music on Wednesday 5th which will take place at the Boathouse on Heir. Everyone is welcome!
As part of the Festival, we will be raising money for Lisheens House, a charity that the Festival has supported previously. If you want to know more about their vital work they do, please visit here.
We are delighted that for a second year running we are being supported by Creative Places West Cork Islands – a huge thank you to Creative Places for their support!
All funds raised on June 7th will go to the resoration of St Matthews.
