This proposed symposium aims to assemble young researchers from various parts of the world, providing them with a platform to exchange ideas and discoveries within the realm of Food Fraud. This collaborative setting fosters the emergence of fresh perspectives, methodologies, and approaches for tackling issues related to food fraud. Furthermore, the symposium will facilitate networking opportunities for postgraduate researchers, potentially paving the way for future collaborations, joint research initiatives, and a more comprehensive understanding of the global challenges associated with food fraud.
Organised by postgraduate students David Babatope and Theekshani Kolamunna from University College Dublin (UCD), with the guidance and support of their supervisors Dr. Fiona Lalor (University College Dublin) and Dr. Sinead Furey (Ulster University), the symposium draws inspiration from UCD's internationally renowned group led by Prof. Saskia Van Ruth, known as Kick-off Spotlight on Food Fraud Talks. Prof. Van Ruth's ongoing support extends throughout the planning and execution phases of the programme.
We invite young researchers worldwide to seize this excellent opportunity to showcase your work in the discipline of food fraud and connect with colleagues and experts in the field during the event.
To maximise interaction, we expect every young participant to present (oral presentation or poster presentation).
