'Good Day Cork & Think, Speak, Do' invite you to a pop-up of Many Tongues of Cork's multilingual gathering. This is a safe and brave space to explore different cultures. You have the opportunity to share, listen, ask questions and make new friends. We'll chat about food and music. Bring along your favourite song in your mother tongue, a recipe or a friend. Come as you are and bring your song, story, memory to build a stronger multicultural society.

Rosalin Blue is a poet from Germany performing since 1995. Since 2000, her poetic home is OBhéal in Cork. She has performed in Cork City and County, Limerick, Galway and Dublin, and at festivals like Electric Picnic and LINGO. Her poetry has been anthologised in Cork and was published in magazines including Southword, Revival and Crannóg. Her collection “In the Consciousness of Earth” was published by Lapwing in 2012, and her translation of love-poetry by the German Expressionist August Stramm appeared in 2015. Since 2020 she facilitates the Blue Mondays Writing Group. Find her on Youtube and Facebook.

Nqobizitha Vella was born and bred in a city called Bulawayo in Zimbabwe, she came to Ireland in Sept '15 and has been living in County Cork since. Nqobizitha describes Cork as her home even if it has been for only 5 years and counting. A home for her is a place of freedom, safety and peace, and this is where she found hers. A place where she can be free to voice her feelings. She has been able to express her views towards things that had been difficult to utter in her previous home. Nqobizitha is a feminist who conveys her views through writing and public speaking, she has published a Ndebele/English novel titled 'Umendo So! (Marriage Mysteries)', written opinion pieces on injustices on women and girls in Africa, given talks about Direct Provision and Racism in Ireland just to name a few.

Good Day Cork is a digital magazine and creator of Many Tongues of Cork (MTC) gatherings. MTC began in 2019 to amplify the cultural diversity of Cork through prose and poetry. Think Speak Do Community Engagement facilitate community discussions. Both have joined forces to bring a special edition of Many Tongues of Cork to Mother Tongues Festival.
