FREE parents information night on learning HOW to study – GALWAY

Knowing how to study is an acquired skill that every student should have in their corner.

This seminar aims to inform parents of some of the key areas of importance so that they can help their own son or daughter with their study.

These events have proved very popular in the past with consistently great feedback from attendees, so I'm delighted to welcome you to this latest information night.

If you have an interest in helping your son/daughter learn about how the brain works when it comes to learning, then I encourage you to attend this event in The Maldron Hotel, Sandy Road Galway, on October 12th, 2022, at 8.00pm.

There will be a 45-60 mins talk where I introduce some strategies that you can directly use and bring back to your students at home,

I will cover topics such as:

• why learning is misunderstood
• how the brain tricks us when it comes to studying (and how we can overcome this)
• developing focus in a world full of distraction
• the areas where we can make the most immediate and impactful gains
• the difference between goals and systems and where we should be concentrating
• how we can introduce study methods that can last a lifetime

Additionally, I will hold a Q+A session at the end of the talk where I answer as many questions as I can, directly from the parents in attendance. These Q+A sessions have proved very popular over the years, and I enjoy being able to deal with "real" questions, not just the theory of learning.

It is my intention to provide valuable information to parents so that they can help encourage their sons and daughters to make the most of their time when it comes to studying.

The Junior Cycle (1st, 2nd and 3rd year) Student Seminar on "Learning How to Learn" will be held on Sunday morning, October 23rd, 2022 in The Maldron Hotel from 9.30am-12pm.

The Senior Cycle (4th, 5th and 6th year) Student Seminar on "Learning How to Learn" will be held on Sunday afternoon, October 23rd, 2022 in The Maldron Hotel from 1.30m-4.00pm.
