Promoting menstrual equity to confront the challenging reality of period poverty is key to supporting women and people with periods. Like so many global issues, period poverty impacts all pillars of sustainability - economic, environmental, social, &amp; cultural.In order to work toward a fairer and more equal world for all, we need to understand period poverty from each of these angles and their intersections.During this panel event, you’ll get to hear from experts and insiders from Ireland and around the world who will share their insights about the nature of period poverty and what we can do to support those dealing with it.Our guests include: Abi O’Callaghan-Platt of VOICE IrelandLama Naja of PLAN International, based in LebanonMaryam Yabo and Aishah Akorede of Recrowned IrelandAnne Holmes, Development Specialist at the Department of Foreign Affairs

This event forms part of the <a href="https://www.10000students.ie/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">10000students #FreeTheFlow campaign</a> with USI + STAND. We want you to take local action for global change, ensuring that women &amp; menstruators around the world are empowered rather than burdened every time their period comes around. The #FreetheFlow campaign will introduce us to the barriers to menstruation justice and explore the ways we can break them down. When you join us and take the pledge we’ll send you a list of ways to be a period activist, a flow fighter, a bloody revolutionary!
