Every Sunday at 10.45am, walk starts at 11am.  Walks finish around 1230/1pm and we meet for a refreshment and chats afterwards at Spill the Beans on Market Square *near the Athlone Castle

Bring/wear appropriate attire - trainers, cold/rain/warm/sun gear, water and a smile :)

An socially inclusive group for all ages and abilities. Kids and dogs on leads welcome.

How do we walk?

We walk in smaller groups - 3-4km group and a 7-8km group.  Paces can vary but we have a group for everyone. Complete 5000 or 10000 steps on a Sunday.

The Walk FREE and open to everyone.  The walks are led by a group of volunteers. We have two options 3-4km (~5000steps) OR a 7-8km (~10,000steps) around Athlone Town.

Taking in the many beautiful sights and sounds of Athlone - streets, waterways, greenways, bridges, parks, castle, churches, galleries, clubs, entertainment & shopping centers, stations, offices, hospitals, shops, F&B, hotels.  Come join us!
