A CURIOSS Workshop led by the Syracuse University and University of California OSPOs
Working with collaborators on code and code-like documents can be quite a headache. Traditional version history often has poor tools for managing conflicting contributions, saving and accessing historical checkpoints, and handling experimentation. This workshop will introduce participants to Git, a piece of software and a collaboration mindset that resolves all of these issues and more. Representatives from the Syracuse University and University of California Open Source Program Offices will walk participants through their first Git contributions, help them collaborate with each other using GitHub, and discuss Git's place in the world of AI coding. No programming or Git experience required. No software installations required.
