Frequently asked questions

What do I need to bring?

This walk is on a marked path but some sections may be mucky due to the weather so walking boots are more suitable if the weather has been wet. Warm layers ( no jeans), rain jacket, sun cream and insect repellent if you need it and bottle of water.

How fit do I need to be?

This walk is graded as moderate and there is some uphill. However, the Wellness Walk is deliberately set at a nice slow pace, in order to practice mindfulness and switch off from outside distractions.

Can I bring my dog?

As much as I love dogs, they are NOT allowed on Pure by Paula Wellness Walks. This is your time for selfcare and wellness and it’s not fair on other participants trying to relax and enjoy the meditations, Reiki etc.

Do I have to bring swimwear or take off my clothes for the Forest Bathing?

NO !!!!! The term ‘Forest Bathing’ simply means ‘immersing ourselves in the essence of nature’, and using our senses to practice being mindful. So no clothing is removed !!!

I don’t have anyone to come with me, can I come alone?

Of course! Most people come on the walks alone. Some come with a friend or family member.

I just want to relax and de-stress, I don’t want to talk to anyone on the walk !

This is YOUR Wellness Walk and your space to have some selfcare. I encourage participants to turn their phones on silent and to switch off from all distractions. Everyone has their own reasons for coming along, and some may have very personal reasons so we will all respect each others space.
