Grand Slam are an Irish rock band originally formed in 1984 by PHIL LYNOTT and LAURENCE ARCHER after the breakup of his most famous band THIN LIZZY.
Grand Slam was only active for one year, until Lynott died in 1986.
The band was revived in 2016.This latest incarnation of Phil and Laurence's Grand Slam features Laurence Archer along with compadres Mike Dyer, Benjy Reid and Rocky Newton), honouring the traditions of rock and Laurence’s song writing dynasty, but also looks to the future – the classic tracks sit alongside a set of brand spanking new rock anthems that embody the same ethos of freedom, positivity and adrenalin that ran through Grand Slam in 1984.
Grand Slam released a new album in 2019 titled 'Hit The Ground on Marshall Records.
