About this event

Our panel of experts will discuss how geoscience helps to shape Ireland’s climate policies and answer your questions about how best we can manage our natural resources.

- Dr Sarah Blake will present GSI’s new geothermal programme and how this form of energy might be harnessed in Ireland to support our heating and cooling needs and potentially help to meet to our increasing electricity demands.

- Mr Eoin McGrath will discuss mining and mineral activities and how these can be best managed in our consumer society and our demand for infrastructure and ‘green’ technologies.

- Ms Katie Tedd will talk about her work assessing the impact of droughts on our water resources and the need to carefully manage our groundwater systems.

There will be an opportunity to submit questions online during the event, however we strongly encourage you send your questions in advance via our online form before 5pm September 21st
