As part of the Interreg Atlantic Area Region, we are happy to announce the first FANBEST Hackathon for the Blue Economy.

We are inviting engineers, scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, marketers, business owners, business developers and all those with a genuine interest in adding their thoughts and creative ideas to help solve and promote issues currently face by the blue economy.

With several industry problems to solve, the DCU Ryan Academy and IT Tralee are hosting a one-day hackathon on the 9th of December. Teams will compete to find the best solution for the problem. Welcoming participants from Ireland and abroad, along with problem solving we aim to strengthen the blue economy community.

The specific challenges will be published a week before the event and will fall under the five main areas of the FANBEST project: aquaculture, coastal tourism, marine biotechnology, ocean energy and seabed mining.

Throughout the process experienced professionals will help guide and shape your ideas, sharing their experience and knowledge.
