Description
Hard Working Class Heroes is Ireland's annual music showcase and conference and the festival for discovering your new favourite artists. 50 of Ireland's most exciting emerging artists will showcase their music over 2 nights (Sept 28/29) in 5 of Dublin's best known live music venues - The Workman's Club, The Grand Social, Yamamori Tengu, Tramline, and Doyle's. We'll also be hosting the HWCH Music Conference (Sept 27/28/29) in The Chocolate Factory, which will feature over 20 networking sessions, panels, & workshops where we will discuss, debate, and delve deep into the topics that matter most to musicians. The HWCH Music Conference is Ireland's largest gathering of bookers, labels, agents, managers, music supervisors, journalists, and radio folk from around the world and here at home. The development and progression of the HWCH Music Conference over the last few years has earned the festival the local and international reputation for being a must-attend event for anyone working in music in Europe.

Some of last year’s big successes to progress from the festival to the international stage include Soulé, Roe, Bitch Falcon, David Keenan, Fontaines DC, Æ Mak, Jafaris, Lilla Vargen, Jealous of the Birds, Le Boom and Paddy Hanna.
“With bands securing agents, managers and label deals as well as a huge jump in national and international profile, a slot at HWCH is something of a bucket list achievement for a lot of developing Irish acts", says HWCH festival director, Angela Dorgan. “The payoff is also on view in the record amount of Irish acts on the bill at all our domestic festivals. It has never been more important to showcase Irish talent”.
