About this event

  • 3 hours

In this three hour workshop it will begin with Jen giving a short introduction to herbal medicine, its history and its importance both traditionally and for the modern times . Then we will begin moving into the combined herbal medicine workshop and yin yoga journey with the theme of going deeper into the medicine of Spring and emerging from the deep rest of Winter.

Jen will share about 9 different herbal remedies over the course of the 3 hours, these will be in various forms including infusions, decoctions, vinegars, honeys and tinctures. After each remedy tasting, Jen will speak into the medicinal benefits of the plants used, their character and how to make medicine from the specific plants and herbs mentioned.

Jen has seen how beautiful the fusion of yin yoga and herbal medicine is as they are both sensorial experiences and beautifully compliment and enhance one another, allowing for the knowledge and experince of the herbal medicines to land deeper into the body whilst it it relaxed and supported by the yoga.

The workshop will finish with a Q&A session and further tastings of the herbal remedies.

If anyone is breastfeeding or pregnant, please let Jen know before booking in.

All bookings are final as Jen has to pre-prepare all the herbal remedies for the amount of people that are booked in. If you cannot make the workshop for some reason, there is the option of passing your space on to another.
