In early 2026, HeritACT brings new life to some of Ballina’s underused spaces through six innovative installations that blend creativity, nature-based solutions and digital storytelling.
Join us for our finale event at the Sisters of Mercy Convent (McDermott Street) where HeritACT’s finale event for live music and a showcase of HeritACT’s pavilion + Projection Mapping installations.
Overview
HeritACT is a three-year, European-funded project that activates heritage through engaging experiences aimed at sustainable development. The project involves 14 partners across five European countries and uses seven digital tools (the HeritACT toolkit) to implement nine heritage solutions in three pilot sites: Milan, Elefsina, and Ballina.
In Ballina, the project explores how institutional buildings and sites can serve as shared centres supporting the EU Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus, while preserving social, cultural, and artistic heritage and welcoming new communities.
