Welcome to Hidden in Plain Sight!Join us for an awareness evening on 16th October 2025 at The Shamrock Lodge, Athlone, organised by the Athlone Soroptimists. There will be an array of expert speakers and a Question and Answer Session.Light Refreshments will be available Hidden in Plain Sight reveals the disturbing reality of sex trafficking and slave labour in Ireland—often unnoticed in everyday life. Despite Ireland’s Tier 1 anti-trafficking status, exploitation is widespread. Victims, including women, children, and migrant workers, are coerced into sexual exploitation or forced labour in industries like agriculture, construction, and domestic work. Many victims remain invisible due to fear and manipulation. Thousands are estimated to be affected, yet convictions remain rare. Call to Action: Recognise the signs.
