Himalayan Balsam Bash – Cloonagh

We're heading back to Cloonagh to continue our work tackling Himalayan balsam.

Our volunteers have already removed huge numbers of plants across the catchment this season, and we're continuing the push to prevent this invasive species from spreading and to give our native riverside plants a chance to recover.

No previous experience is needed. We'll provide all equipment and a quick introduction before we get started.

Meeting times:

• 2:00pm – ATU Sligo Car Park (for anyone travelling together)
• 2:30pm – Jordan's Bar Car Park
• Finish: Approximately 5:30pm

What to Bring

• Sturdy footwear or wellington boots
• Long trousers and long sleeves recommended
• Clothing appropriate for the weather
• Waterproofs if rain is forecast
• Sun cream, a hat and plenty of drinking water if it's warm

We'll have our usual supply of hot and cold drinks and plenty of biscuits for everyone.
