Forming in 2023 HOUSEMATES exploded onto the Galway DIY scene with a raw, unapologetic sound that cuts the listener to the bone. The post-grunge powerhouse packs attitude & grit while simultaneously leaving a lasting impression. Having caught the attention of longtime alt-rockers Fangclub, the band opened up for them in the Róisín Dubh in April 2025. Combining trashy guitars, driving bass & attacking drums they blend melodic intensity with raw aggression, creating a unique fusion of chaos and control. The group come into their own in the live realm. With a stage show known for it's seismic energy & early 90s undertones, HOUSEMATES turn even the smallest of venues into rocking fun houses every time.
Holy Show blends together elements
of grunge, indie, folk rock, punk and
shoegaze. Each member brings their
own personal inspirations to each
song to create what is their
melancholic yet high energy sound. In
a sentence, Holy Show makes music
for anyone who enjoys mosh pits or
crying or both.
Too weird to be normal, too normal to be weird. Being trapped between two worlds, while never fully belonging to either, is the sound of Other Mother. It’s for the people who feel every possible emotion at any given time, but never quite knowing which one they really feel. The dichotomous instrumentation, be it driven guitars, melodious piano, thumping bass, delicate vocals; they all come together to create the sound of mixed emotion. Hot Press Magazine described their debut single, Inevitable, as having “heart-wrenching lyrics that tackle confusion, and a return to old coping mechanisms” while being “a cool rock sound and an upbeat dance groove.” Emotions are complicated, but whatever it is you’re feeling, Other Mother has a sound for it.
