How to build a bat box and improve your garden for bats
Date and time
Learn how to build a bat box and how to make improvements to your garden to benefit bats
About this event
This talk and mini workshop is hosted by Limerick Bat Group and will be led by Sean Hartigan.
We will meet at Castletroy Town Park and have a chat there. Sean will demonstrate how to build a bat box and there will be a small number of pre-cut bat boxes to be put together on the day.
Bats are an important part of the ecosystem and we will discuss why they are important and how to improve your garden for bats and biodiversity. This is a family orientated event but all minors must be accompanied by an adult.
We will have limited numbers of bat boxes for this talk so booking is a must, however a ticket does not equate to a bat box and the number of boxes available will depend on availability of materials on the day.
Book one ticket per up to 4 people please.
This event is hosted by Limerick Bat Group. It is free and a part of Biodiversity Week 2022. It is sponsored by IEN and in association with Bat Conservation Ireland.
