About the speakers
Hugh runs the IBM’s largest Digital Sales Centre in the world, here in Dublin. He manages over 800 employees who come from across the globe selling and marketing various IBM products and services. Overall, he has over 30 years’ experience in the IT industry and in sales. He’s been at IBM for 16 years in various roles. Hugh is also a member of Plato Dublin, a confidential business support network for owner managers of SMEs funded by the Councils in the Dublin region. Together with several large multi-nationals it runs an 18-month program for start-ups providing education, advice and guidance on how to scale up your business. Hugh is also known to be a good Christmas carol singer!
Liz is a CEO of Sales Optimize.com. SalesOptimize helps sales and marketing teams resolve two of the biggest problems lead generation and lead quality. It is a B2B online sales lead generation platform. Their patent technology scans the internet, analyzing online shops globally and ranks them in terms of Enterprise ($20m) versus Sole Proprietor ($10k). They have found over 1.7M online shops which drive in excess of $ 1Trillion in retail sales.
John is a professional storyteller. He mentors businesses owners, consultants and entrepreneurs to create a perfect pitch through coaching and mentoring sessions. Over the course of the last years he helped hundreds of individuals creating a more appealing, meaningful story about themselves, their products and their businesses.

In Dublin we have a huge amount of startups and big multinationals like Google, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, PayPal and many others. This is a networking community of Sales/Marketing Professionals and Leaders interested in using technology and data science to improve business results. We believe that tech companies have to radically change and adopt new sales approaches in order to satisfy the growing demands and expectations of consumers in our digital age. Therefore it is necessary to constantly measure, evaluate and improve efficiency and effectiveness of their sales efforts. This community facilitates networking, ideas sharing and provides the opportunity to exchange real life tech sales experiences.
