The reality of performing Humane Animal Dispatch (HAD) is unpleasant but necessary to prevent any further suffering

In most instances, the actual dispatch is quick & straightforward. The added difficulty is that you are undertaking this action at the side of a busy road. There may be many potential ricochet hazards & sometimes members of the public watching. That is why there should always be a Garda present.
