Our theme for 2016 is simply 'Mobile is everything'.
According to Googles Consumer Barometer 2015, 75% of the Irish population use a smartphone. 35% use their smartphones more to go online than desktop / laptops, with a further 34% saying it's equal between smartphone and desktop / laptop*.
And from our own recent Digital Video research (June 2016), 61% of VOD viewers consume video on their smartphones (up from 49% in 2015)**
The role of Mobiles on the path to purchase is incredibly central too with 38% comparing products, prices, features online on smartphones and 27% getting ideas, inpiration online via smartphones. So a brands mobile presence is truly key - indeed if issues are encountered while accessing websites via a smartphone 25% of Irish people will find another site that works better on a mobile device.*
