About this event
IDEAS is an EU Commission funded research project led by Trinity College Dublin in association with Mayo County Council. Brackloon/Drummin Community Centre is showcasing the projects' innovative energy efficiency and sustainability technology.
The efficiency of the Centre's heating system is improved with a state of the art solar thermal and PV system combined with novel heat-pump technology and the latest in building heating systems controls.

The event will demonstrate the IDEAS technology in action with presentations from Professor Sarah MacCormack of Trinity College.
Duncan Stewart, of RTÉ's EcoEye, will also present to the meeting placing the IDEAS system in the context of our need to urgently address the biodiversity and climate crisis.
