Event description

Description

There aren't enough short films screened in Dublin. We aim to fix that.

The night begins at 7pm, with a small wine reception. The screening will run for about an hour and a half. Then we’ll retire to a nearby pub to digest, dissect and discuss the shorts we’ve just enjoyed.

Short films pick us out of our seats and drop us into another world. With only our wits we have to work out the rules of this new place. We get a story with no fat left on it.

It demands attention.

Short film, at its core, is a generous art form. A good short asks a question and doesn’t let the audience off the hook with an answer. It demands to be thought about, discussed and argued over.

It demands a response.

A Short film is, and stop us if this is too much of a reach, short. It’s a small, precious thing which can so easily be lost or overlooked. A short film is a spark in the darkness. A spark that needs to be gently blown on, to be fed kindling for it to burst into flame.

It demands care to reach its potential.

Join us on the 29th to warm this tender ember.
