About this event

The 20th meeting of the Implementation Network of Ireland and Northern Ireland will be held on Thursday, October 15th from 3.00pm - 5.00pm. This will be the Network's first virtual meeting and it will be hosted via Zoom!

The theme of the meeting is 'Local implementation at a time of crisis'. The speakers on the day who will discuss this theme in relation to their own work are:

  • Bairbre Nic Aongusa, Assistant Secretary for Community Development, Department of Rural and Community Development
  • Elaine Gillespie, Head of Community Planning at Armagh, Banbridge Craigavon Community Planning Partnership
  • Kate Beggs, Northern Ireland Director of the National Lottery Community Fund

Through the use of breakout rooms the meeting will provide an opportunity for those participating to reflect on the advantages and disadvantages of rapid implementation, the facilitators and barriers to implementation during the Covid-19 pandemic, unintended consequences, and what can be sustained in the longer term. The breakout rooms will provide an opportunity to network along with sharing ideas and learning.
