IMS & EMS Excursion to Met Éireann Headquarters

In connection with the EMS2017 Conference in Dublin, Met Éireann, the National Meteorological Service of Ireland, and the Irish Meteorological Society, local hosts and supporters, have organized a FREE excursion to Met Éireann Headquarters which is within walking distance from the EMS2017 Conference venue, The Helix.

The main goal is to share knowledge about:

(a) Maintaining the weather observing networks deployed in Ireland and the climatological archive for Ireland,

(b) Research work being undertaken by Met Éireann, and

(c) The operational challenges in producing and disseminating national weather forecasts and warnings in the Irish context.
