About this event

‘Information Webinar on CEF Telecom Call – Cybersecurity’

The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) in Telecom is a key EU instrument o facilitate cross-border interaction between public administrations, businesses and citizens, by deploying digital service infrastructures (DSIs) and broadband networks.

The final CEF call on cyber security opened on Tuesday 30 June with €10.5m is available for projects up to 3 years in duration and 75% EU co-funding.

Funding is available for government bodies and industry, notably operators of essential services under the NIS Directive for:

  • internal capacity building,
  • Information Sharing and Analysis Centres, and
  • stakeholders involved in cybersecurity certification, notably conformity assessment bodies

The European Commission is encouraging increased participation in CEF from Ireland. As the call closes on 5 November, interested parties need to start preparing proposals as soon as possible.

Cyber Ireland is hosting an information webinar to provide an overview of the call, with speakers from the National Cyber Security Centre, successful applicants from the previous CEF call from 2019, and a CEF Application Evaluator.

Make sure to attend if you’re interested in understanding the call documents, assessing if you have an appropriate project, or for expert advice on your proposal from past experience.

Further details at Call website and Section 2 of the call text. Specific to Cybersecurity see the CEF Presentation and CEF Info Webinar (1hr 35 mins).
