Institutional Approaches to Using Data for Enhancing Student Success

The National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education is the national body responsible for leading and advising on the enhancement of teaching and learning in Irish higher education.In partnership with students, staff and leaders in Irish higher education, the National Forum works to develop an inclusive, collaborative and innovative culture that maximises learning impact for the success of all students.

Many higher education institutions worldwide are beginning to recognise the value of learner data as a resource for enabling evidence-based decision-making, actionable insights and predictive identification of students in need, empowering institutions to target resources to where they will have the greatest positive effect. Effective data strategies and institutional cultures that recognise the power of data will be key drivers for 21st century HEIs. This event, aimed at institutional leaders, draws upon expertise from within and beyond the HE sector to offer guidance to institutions as they look to develop strategies that are sustainable and successful.
Speakers include Professor Dragan Gašević, Professor of Learning Analytics in the Faculty of Education and Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University and Daniel Sinnott, Chief Analytics Officer with the Office of the Revenue Commissioners
