Developing the leadership capabilities of students in Irish higher education through training has been central to NStEP’s work since the programme was first piloted in 2016.  OurIntroductory Class Rep Trainingmodule has been the cornerstone of the NStEP Student Training Programme, and to date over 7,000 students have participated in our training programme. National Student Engagement Programme (NStEP)

NStEP training helps student reps learn more about the role, and provides useful strategies and tools for success!

NStEP’s Introductory Class Rep Training is designed to introduce new reps to key concepts and practical tools to help them succeed in their role. Over 1,300 student representatives across Ireland have already participated this year, and 99% say they would recommend the training to other reps! Training covers four key areas: •	student engagement and partnership in the context of the student rep role•	the Student Learning Experience tool, and how it can be used to gather and evaluate feedback from your class•	the class rep feedback cycle•	strategies for communicating feedback effectivelyTraining will be peer-led by NStEP&#x27;s student trainers. <a href="https://studentengagement.ie/meet-the-student-trainers/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Click here to meet our experienced team of student trainers</a>. This training session will be held online using Zoom and last for 90 minutes. A link to the Zoom meeting will be provided after registering on Eventbrite. The online training room will open on Zoom 10 minutes before the start time. All student reps who complete the training will be awarded an NStEP National Recognition Award. This will be emailed to you using the email address that you provide through eventbrite when registering. We will also use this to contact you about future training opportunities and online resources.
