Event Information
About this event
Humans are natural meaning-makers and storytellers. We also think in circles, cycles and seasons. During this workshop, the attendees will explore the crucible of grief and loss related to Covid restrictions, loss of freedom, experiences, lives… We will seek meaning and give it a place in our individual and collective mythical stories.
This is part of the 6-week workshop Remaking of Life. Check out the full programme: https://mothertonguesfestival.com/remaking-of-life/
About the facilitator
Born in Spain, Maria Ortega Garcia has spent half of her life embracing her nomadic soul until she started to grow roots in Ireland in 2017. As an embodied language coach and multilingual poetry teacher, she works at the intersection of creativity, multilingualism and self-expression. Maria has published her first book "Weaving Words: The Alchemy of Languages", which explores an alternative, more holistic way of learning, internalising and integrating non-native languages. She is also a multilingual poetry teacher.
