The Italian Institute of Culture and TUDublin Conservatoire are delighted to present an evening of enchanting piano mastery by the internationally acclaimed Italian pianist, Leonora Armellini.

Join us on Thursday 6th of June 2024, in the fabolous new Concert Hall at TU Dublin East Quad, Dublin for an extraordinary musical performance.

Winner of the Fifth Prize at the International Piano Competition "F. Chopin" in Warsaw, and the first Italian to ascend to the summit of this pinnacle of global pianism, Armellini's talent has been recognized since her early years.

For this special event, Armellini presents a mesmerizing repertoire featuring works by Robert Schumann, Sergei Prokofiev, and Fryderyk Chopin. From the enchanting scenes of Schumann's "Waldszenen" to the dramatic intensity of Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet," culminating in the evocative melodies of Chopin's masterpieces, prepare to embark on a musical journey that transcends time and emotion.

BIO

Leonora Armellini, winner of the Fifth Prize in the 2021 edition of the Chopin Piano

Competition in Warsaw and the first Italian woman to have climbed the heights

of the competition considered as the pinnacle of world pianism, she was a very

young winner of the “Janina Nawrocka Prize” for the “extraordinary musicality and

beauty of sound” already in the edition of 2010. Leonora has always “forged ahead”,

graduating at the age of twelve from the conservatory with honors and mention,

winning the Venice Prize unanimously in 2005, finishing her specialization under the

guidance of Sergio Perticaroli at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia at the age of 17 in

Rome and graduating from the Imola Academy in the class of Boris Petrushansky

in 2018. The numerous awards and his intense and regular activity as a soloist and

chamber musician for important festivals and seasons all over the world testify to

the well-deserved notoriety of the Paduan pianist in the world concert scene. She

currently teaches piano at the “A. Buzzolla ”of Adria.
