‘What’s in a Name? Transgender Politics Now’

A public talk with Jack Halberstam

Date: Thursday 22nd February

Venue: St. John’s Central College, Sawmill Street, Cork

The Cork LGBT interagency group are delighted to host Jack Halberstam, Professor of English and Gender Studies at Columbia University. Jack, a popular speaker in the US and internationally has authored such titles as Trans*: A Quick and Quirky Account of Gender Variability (2018), Gaga Feminism: Sex, Gender and The End of Normal (2012), The Queer Art of Failure (2011), Female Masculinity (1998).

Due to the high demand for tickets to this event and in order to accommodate as many people as possible the time of the lecture has been changed. Refreshments will be available from 5.30pm and the lecture will begin at 6pm sharp. Access to the lecture will be limited to those who have booked on Eventbrite so please bring print out or screen shot of your ticket.
