Brouhaha returns to the Quay Coop bookshop in June with Cork-born, London-based James Or and special guest Katie Swayne.
James Or's earnest songwriting has been praised for its authenticity and introspectiveness, earning him numerous plaudits including a place on Hotpress’ ‘Ones to Watch’ listings. His music showcases a versatile artist constantly searching for meaning in the peculiarities of everyday living. Known also for his indefatigable live shows, James has performed with countless mainstream artists such as Frank Turner, The Coronas and Gavin James.
James finished his debut album, All The Beds We’ve Been In, just weeks before the world shut down in March 2020. Since its release in 2022, the themes of friendship, isolation, grief, acceptance, and recovery that make up All The Beds We’ve Been In feel, if anything, more relevant than ever.
James will be supported by the local Cork singer-songwriter Katie Swayne.
Brouhaha is a not-for-profit music promoter bringing people to community spaces in Cork City.
Key Books or The Other Place is a community bookshop run by volunteers as a not-for-profit venture.
