January Blues Dancing - Part 2
Overview
Join Lewis for PART 2 of a special January Blues 2-Part Workshop designed for returning dancers and anyone with some Blues experience. Over two sessions we’ll learn a short piece of partnered Blues choreography that weaves together the essential steps, rhythms and turns you’ve explored in previous classes. We’ll also revisit the different types of embrace to deepen connection, comfort and flow in your dancing.
Improvers/Intermediate. Not for beginners.
It is ideal that you attend both classes but it is not necessary.
**For those who miss class 1 there will be a recap video for you to practise the choreo taught**
PRACTICALITIES
You don't need a partner. Please sign up as Lead or Follow and bring your full water bottle.
- Please bring a 2nd pair of clean indoor dancing shoes & leave your outside shoes in the shoe rack. You can also dance barefoot.
HOW TO GET TO THE STUDIO
- Collective Cork is a yoga studio inside the Triskel Arts Centre on Tobin Street.
- The entrance is down a back alleyway. If the main door to Triskel is closed you can enter through the GREY side door ( in between the triskel entrance and the Paper Boys cafe)
- Go to the top of the stairs ( follow signs for COLLECTIVE CORK)
- Toilets are on the ground floor by reception and on the first floor
- The yoga studio is on the 2nd floor
- Parking in the city is free on a Sunday, but you will not be able to park too close to the studio, so try up by Barrack Street or by Popes Quay. Or your usual spots.
AND FINALLY
