Queen's University Players present: Last Call, written and directed by Eimear Mullan
Last Call is set over one winter evening in a local Irish pub as a weather warning traps a handful of patrons inside. Féidhlim, a stalled musician working behind the bar spends the night with his best friend Anthony, along with Paul, an ageing punter.
The quiet routine is disrupted when a group of old friends arrive home for Christmas. As drinks flow and memories resurface, the pub becomes a space where past and present collide.
As the night draws to a close, Féidhlim is confronted with the possibility of change, and the realisation that remaining where he is may be as much a choice as leaving ever was.
