Launch Event: 3D Data Hack Dublin

Join us to celebrate the launch of our 3D Data Hackathon where we will discuss the future of 3D Data use in city planning and service delivery.
This event will take place on Friday 10th May, and will herald the start of our weekend-long 3D Data Hackathon, an event aimed at inspiring creative approaches and collaboration in the world of 3D data!
Hackathon participants will be given access to high-quality data, including FBX and IFC models - of buildings and spaces in the Dublin Docklands and will be asked to work together to come up with novel ways of using this data for public good. 
Joining us at the launch will be a distinguished panel of experts in the areas of visual computing, augmented and virtual reality and the construction and planning industries, who will discuss the future of designing and delivering great spaces and services for cities using AR & VR Technologies.
Our panellists are:
Carol O'Sullivan, Professor of Visual Computing, Trinity College Dublin and Head of School Computer Science and Statistics
Alex Gibson, Assistant Head of School, School of Marketing at TU Dublin, and Founder of ARVR Innovate Conference
Dr. Claire Penny, Global Leader for IBMs Smart Buildings & Facilities group
Oliver Dawkins, Data & Training Coordinator at SFI-funded Building City Dashboards Team at The University of Maynooth and PhD candidate specialising in Near Real-Time Urban Data Spaces
Carol Tallon, Co-Founder of PropTech Ireland and Strategic Communications at propertydistrict.ie  
The panel discussion will be followed by networking, canapes and drinks will be provided. The event is free, but places are limited so please reserve your place early!
