This session will explore how Lean principles can be applied within legal and professional services environments, with a particular focus on improving operational efficiency, workflow management, and organisational effectiveness.


Topics covered will include:

EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Co-Operation – European advisor to the World Class Manufacturing Missions (ret.)

Prof. Keegan is a specialist in the areas of Lean, World Class Business, Operational Excellence and Benchmarking, advising major companies across Europe. While working with Enterprise Ireland, he developed and deployed the Lean Business Offer, supporting over 1,150 projects to help companies improve operational effectiveness. Many of the life sciences and pharmaceutical companies located in Ireland engaged with either the Lean Business Offer or participated in best practice visits to Toyota Deeside.

He worked for the last 3.5 years with the Welsh Government and Toyota introducing a tiered Lean approach to develop the competitiveness of Welsh companies. He has led best practice missions for over 2,000 managers to the Toyota Deeside engine plant, as well as leading a mission by An Taoiseach to Toyota Japan. He spent more than 20 years advising the World Class and Lean activities of the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Co-Operation.
