Léargas Supporting Languages: European Language Label Awards 2018

Join us in celebrating the European Language Label Awards 2018! This year the award ceremony has been expanded to include a full programme of language themed events, and will be of interest to language teachers, professionals, students and enthusiasts alike.

Do you know how to spot fake news in a foreign language? Come along and find out! The day will begin with speakers from across the sector who will discuss a variety of fascinating topics such as: digital literacies in language learning; how storytelling is being used to bridge the gap between migrants and local communities; and how multilingual students are having a positive impact on classrooms around the country.

On the day you will also be invited to participate in a language themed workshop. Whether you are interested in learning how to bring your classroom to life with eTwinning, participate in a language exchange with Erasmus+, or explore the importance of non-verbal language through theatre, there is something for everyone!

We will finish the day with the European Language Label Award Ceremony, during which this year’s creative, innovative and inspiring winners will be awarded a European Language Label. Lunch and refreshments will be provided on the day.
