Looking for something different to do midweek that isn’t just standing in a noisy pub pretending you can hear your friends?

Welcome to Lego Night at Thunder Road Café — a weekly Wednesday night where grown adults gather together to build ridiculous things out of tiny plastic bricks and become surprisingly competitive about it.

Here’s how it works:

You’ll be given a surprise building challenge and theme, we’ll provide all the bricks and materials, and then it’s completely up to you what happens next.

Some people arrive with strategy. Some people immediately descend into chaos. Both approaches are fully encouraged.

You do not need to be a Lego fanatic. In fact, some of the best builds come from people with absolutely no plan whatsoever.

It’s creative, social, a bit chaotic, and honestly great craic.
