Living Colour

Nuns Island TheatreGalway, Galway
Saturday, Mar 7 from 8 pm to 10 pm GMT
Overview

An observational documentary film focusing on an extraordinary Irish Artist Collective, directed by Éamon Little.

Following on from sell-out screenings at Galway Arts Centre | Nuns Island Theatre in December of his latest film, Born That Way, we are pleased to screen Éamon Little’s 2011 film, Living Colour, which comes from the same world.

Living Colour is a film about an abstract watercolour painter who takes three and a half minutes to climb into a van, a chatterbox stone carver with the shakes, a woman who colours her dreams, a precision ink-drawer who stares into fires, a diminutive sage who makes politically satirical animations and the motley collective of other artists with special support needs with whom they share a studio. It is a charming, moving and sometimes hilarious reflection on the deeply human need to make art."

Living Colour was produced by Martha O'Neill and Adrian McCarthy for Wildfire Films with funding from Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, RTÉ and BAI.
